WELCOME TO BAYPOINT PREPARATORY ACADEMY

Baypoint Preparatory Academy offers a homeschool options for families interested in providing the academic instruction at home. Parents/Guardians are responsible for overseeing the education with the support from the school.

The program includes;

• Funding provided for approved vendors

• Free curriculum

• Support forums & groups

• Participation in school field trips & school events

• Expanding list of vendor providers

• TK-5 students will participate whole group direct instruction, small group instruction, and independent learning tasks. The TK-5 program fosters teacher-student-parent relationships where student learning goals are established, communication is fluid, and a strong community supports the student in becoming a lifelong learner.

• 6-8th grade students participate in the blended learning model which offers integration between the subjects during whole and small group instruction. Core subject Content teachers will collaborate across subjects and create cross-curricular projects that span the disciplines.

The Blended Rotation Model:

• Teacher - direct instruction, targeted questions, activities based on ability levels

• Independent - working on previously learned skills/standards

• Collaborative - working with peers to reinforce skills

• Technology - i-Ready: ELA & MAT (adaptive based on students skill level)

Baypoint Preparatory Academy offers a curriculum supported independent study educational program for families interested in their children working independently at home with an assigned grade level appropriate Baypoint teacher who will be responsible for overseeing the academic program.
